SOFTBALL NZ PICK UP INFORMATION:

What is a 'Pick Up': This is where a player requests to play for another province at a national championship (but still remains to their home province). You are eligible to be considered as a pickup player when:

  • A player is not selected to play at a National Championship by their home province in their preferred grade, and they wish to draft to a different province; or
  • Where the player's home province does not have a team attending a National Championship in their preferred grade.

Please note that you must be registered as a representative player within your own association first. You cannot remove yourself from a representative pool within you home association, then be selected by an outside ('pick up') association.

  • Those wishing to Register as a Pick Up, can do so here.
  • Once you have been "picked up", you will need to complete the Player Pick Up Form(You must get sign off from your home association AND pick up association before you can compete).
