As the season winds down, some of you might be looking forward to having your weekends back, while others are gearing up for winter sports. Regardless of where you're at, we want to take a moment to thank each of you for being a part of ECB Softball this season.

ECB is one of the largest softball clubs in New Zealand, and we are immensely proud of the dedication, hard work, and passion you've displayed both on and off the field, as well as behind the scenes. The efforts of parents, ensuring their kids get to the park on time, certainly don’t go unnoticed. From double and triple plays to the joy of first catches, this season has been full of unforgettable moments.

This weekend, we have plenty of action to look forward to. We have multiple teams playing to top honors in their grade, while others going for a strong finish.  If you have the chance, come along and support another ECB team in their last game—we know they’ll appreciate it!

• Finals Day/Club Day: Time to get your bake on! what you need to know
• Uniform Collection: Please return your ECB uniform (playing shirt and player pants) at your last playing game or practice.
• Teams in grade finals: A list of those teams in the finals for their grades.
• Prizegiving: Club Award Nominations are now OPEN – who do you want to nominate?

Join us for Club Day on Saturday, 22 March, we will be having a bake sale under the gazebos by the club room carpart.  We'll also have our final merchandise on sale (grab a bargain while they last) 

• Love to bake? Bring along a plate of baked goods to contribute to the sale.
• Not a baker? We’d still love your help! Volunteers are needed for the bake sale, uniform collection, and the control room.

Your support makes a huge difference—thank you in advance! 

ECB UNIFORM RETURN 

All ECB player uniform tops and pants must be returned to your team manager after your final game this weekend.   Here are a few important reminders: 

• Bring a change of clothes on the final day—let’s avoid a repeat of last season’s, going home in undies!  
• Belts, socks, and caps are yours —no need to return them.
• Uniforms MUST be returned dirty—they’ll be commercially cleaned.

If you’re not playing or have already finished your drop off options are: 

• Friday, 21 March, at Rosedale Park (6-8 PM by Diamond 2)—look for the ECB Bombers scorer.
• Saturday, 22 March at Rosedale Park (all day by Club Room Carpark - Bake Sale)
• Sunday 23 March at Rosedale Park by Diamond 7, dropping off between 11am - 2pm to Richard who is collecting the team gear bags.
• Need an alternative drop-off? You can return uniforms in Greenhithe, Torbay, or Browns Bay—contact Michelle at uniforms@ecbsoftball.org.nz for details.

Missing Uniforms:
Uniforms must be returned by 06 April 2025 to avoid an invoice of $75 per missing top and $75 per missing pants.

CLUB AWARD NOMINATIONS CLOSE SUNDAY 23 MARCH 

Our Club Awards celebrate the players, teams, coaches, managers, and scorers that YOU nominate! Categories include Most Promising, Most Improved, Nathan’s Way Award, and Personality of the Year, among others.

ANY club member (including parents of juniors) can submit nominations. The ECB executive team will review all entries and select the winners. If there are no nominations, the award won’t be given—so we encourage you to nominate as many people as possible across multiple categories! Get involved and help recognize our club’s best!

CALENDAR RAFFLE TEAM WINNERS

Congratulations to the Div 1 Wildcats for winning the $100 prize for selling the most tickets! They sold an impressive 125 Calendar Raffle tickets, closely followed by the Div 3 Rangers and our Prem Men squad.
