Hi everyone, Welcome to 2025! We hope you’ve had a chance to enjoy some quality family time over the break and are now excited for the year ahead. Softball is back in full swing for most grades, and we’ve got a fantastic lineup of tournaments coming up over the next few weeks that promise to be great for spectators! In this newsletter we have:
BRAD RONA FAST45 TOURNAMENT THIS WEEKEND Get ready for an action-packed weekend at the annual Brad Rona Fast45 Tournament at Rosedale Park! This fast-paced format promises excitement and thrills throughout the weekend. We have two ECB Under 13 teams competing in the tournament, with games scheduled all day Saturday and throughout Sunday. If you're looking for a great spot to relax and enjoy some fast-paced softball action, come down and cheer on our young players. Your support means the world to them!
VIC GUTH TOURNAMENT THIS WEEKEND - PREMIER MEN Our ECB Premier Men’s team is gearing up for the prestigious Vic Guth Tournament at Fowlds Park, Mt Albert, where they'll face some of the best teams in the region. Here’s the schedule for our men’s matches: Saturday:

Note: Additional game times for Sunday afternoon and Monday will be announced based on results. If you want to see some great sofball this weekend head on over to support our team as they take on top competition!
UNDER 15 REGIONALS & REGULAR SEASON GAMES - NEXT WEEKEND Next weekend, North Harbour is hosting the Under 15 Regionals on 1st and 2nd February, where our Harbour Under 15 boys and girls will be competing against other regional teams. It's set to be an exciting weekend of softball! Please note that there are still some regular season games scheduled for our Under 7, Under 9, and Prem Reserve Ladies teams. Be sure to check the draw for full details. ECB's Role This Weekend: East Coast Bays is responsible for setting up and packing down the park during the weekend, and we also have the opportunity to sell our raffle tickets throughout the event – a great chance to move any unsold tickets. We’ll need help from our senior teams for the setup and pack down. If you're available to lend a hand, please contact secretary@ecbsoftball.org.nz and let Philippa know when you can assist.

CALENDAR RAFFLE 2025 ECB Annual Calendar Raffle – Selling Fast! We’re thrilled to see the ECB Annual Calendar Raffle tickets flying off the shelves! A big thank you to everyone who has already sold and returned their ticket stubs and money. Each ticket is just $10 and gives you 31 chances to win with daily draws. Important Reminder: The final day to return your ticket stubs or unsold tickets is Saturday, February 22nd. The committee needs a full day to reconcile the stubs from all teams, so if you’ve already sold your tickets, please return your stubs and money to your manager as soon as possible. |
