Well we are a month away from our Premier Men, Prem Reserve Men and Women taking the diamond as their season starts on the 21 September. It would be great to have as many of our club along in to support our teams.

REGISTRATIONS

We have to give North Harbour an indication on our team numbers in a few weeks, so please get your registrations in so Bron (Junior Club Captain) can allocate teams and coaches.  If you haven't registered please register online, if you register from this link, you will be removed from the mailing list,  if you  keep getting ‘registration’ emails, please just let us know so we can untick you.  secretary@ecbsoftball.org.nz  

Family Registrations - for our ECB families with multiple players, you can now speed up the registration process by adding extra family members to your registration form.  CLICK HERE to see how it works.   

You are able to register and be invoiced for payment, and arrange a payment plan with Suzette (treasurer).  

**MULTIPLE GRADE OFFER:

**Juniors who are playing in a Senior Grade are $310 all inclusive (for a maximum of two teams) ie: Under 19 is also playing in Prem Reserve, they would only pay $310 not $110+$310=$420

*** Seniors who are playing in 2 x Senior Grades are $370 all inclusive (for a maximum of two teams).

MUSTER DAY/UNIFORM COLLECTION Save the date

Our muster day is Thursday 17 October prior to the season starting on the 02 November. Please save the date so you can come along to collect your uniform, grab any merchandise required such as belts, caps, visors and finalise your registrations. More details to follow.

NH REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME

The North Harbour Regional Development Programme Registrations are still open.  There are opportunities for all player levels and abilities! 

The Representative/Advanced (Pango) Programme on Sundays, starting 25th August is aimed at those aged U11 - U17 who are looking to trial for a North Harbour Softball Representative team and/or those that want to take their game and skills to the next level. The duration of this programme is 6 weeks, all participants who have registered to trial for a Representative Team are expected to attend. Participants are expected to bring their own gear (gloves, catching gear), some gear will be provided.  
The cost is: $70 for 6 weeks

The Community/Development (Foundation Skills/Kōkōwai) Programme on Monday evenings, starting 26th August is aimed at novices aged U7-U15 who are looking to join a club or have already registered. The programme consists of fun, small sided games that focus on developing fundamental fielding, throwing, batting, and base running skills. 
The cost is: $30 for 6 weeks

NH ORANGE SHIRT UMPIRE INDUCTION PROGRAMME - FREE

The North Harbour Orange Shirt Umpire Induction Programme will start next week.  This is open to parents, siblings and caregivers who are passionate about softball and who want to create a positive environment for our Tamariki and Rangatahi on gameday.

The scheduled sessions are as follows:
- Theory - Mon 23 Sep, 30th Sep & 7 Oct: Zoom meetings 6:30pm - 8pm
- Practical - Mon 14 & 21 Oct: Down Stairs umpires room for practical 6:30pm – 7:30pm
- Review and Marking - Mon 11 Nov: Down Stairs Clubhouse 6:30pm - 8pm

WHAT'S HAPPENING

NHSA SCORER GREEN/ORANGE CAP PROGRAMME - The Green Cap programme is aimed at our beginner scorers, no experience neccessary.  The Orange Cap programme is for more experienced scorers looking to upskill.  These are free programmes with the aim to help you understand, ask questions and learn to score.   More details to follow.  

GAME TIMES - North Harbour have released the game times for the 2024/25 season, they have recently made changes to the Div 1 Men who will now be playing on nights and our U15 Boys will play at 10.30am.   We may have a few other changes but below is current as at 21AUG24.
