Kia ora everyone,

East Coast Bays United Softball Club would like to call a Special General Meeting (SGM) for all it's members on Thursday 30 November 2023

WHY: This SGM is for members to appoint a new Junior Club Captain by way of membership vote. Following a resignation of Vikki, this creates a casual vacancy for this position through to the end of term (until the 2025 AGM).

WHEN: Wednesday 30 November 2023 start at 7.00pm
WHERE: Rosedale Park, Pure Athletic Stadium Meeting Rooms (above the stadium seating)
WHO: All financial members of the club are welcome to come and vote

17. Junior Club Captain

17.1 The Junior Club Captain will work with the Senior Club Captain in development opportunities within the Club. Primarily the role is in the development of youth players and teams, along with coaches umpires and scorers in the junior game.

17.2 The role of Junior Club Captain will include:
a. Producing a Junior Club development plan;
b. Liaise with local schools on Youth Competition information in such matters as registration dates, start of season, fees, competition formats and development;
c. Ensure a player pathway is in place;
d. Ensure player development and enjoyment are key factors;
e. Co-ordinate the recruitment of junior players; and
f. Co-ordinate the recruitment of coaches and managers for junior teams;

NOMINATIONS - Must be received no later than 11.59pm Sunday 26 November

We are now accepting nominations for this position. If you are interested in becoming the ECB Junior Club Captain please complete the nomination form below.

Those nominations will be required to write a small intro and a little about yourself and why you feel you would be good for the role, which in the case of several nominations will be sent out to the members prior to voting.
